POSSESSION

- You are mine.

- I am yours, forever.

Do people really belong to each other? How far do we go when it comes to having someone? Craving someone? Needing another person like air or water?
Humans exist to be free. Even when we carry gently in our hands a heart that beats in someone else´s chest…

Freedom to live, freedom to love, freedom to stop.

Though we do, often, offer ourselves to the ones we hold dearest, pursuing true happiness is only possible when we keep in mind that no possession also means no loss.

And that disturbing feeling that comes with the understanding that you´ve lost someone is one of the most shocking, helpless and sad that we can feel.

We all must realize that we belong to anyone else but ourselves. As long as we don’t truly understand how much it takes to be true to ourselves, how much it takes to truly know ourselves deep inside. As long as we don’t realize that we are in constant mutation, adaptation, that the learning process of oneself is a job for a life time, as long as we don’t realize all this, we’ll keep making the same mistakes.

Please, do everyone a favor, and before stepping forward eagerly to give your heart away and demand someone else’s, take a deep look inside.

Realize who you are. Love yourself.

Otherwise, most of the time you’ll be craving someone’s love for something that even you are capable to feel love for.

More and more people fear intimacy, fear to commit themselves, nevertheless they demand for 24/7 attention, care, affection, even if they never show themselves as they are.

Certainly, ignorance can be bliss.
But truth shall set you free.

Please, do learn from your mistakes. Be thankful.

Love is like a road. We can stop to rest a little, we may stop to cherish the landscape, and we must certainly enjoy the ride. But we must remember that there are many roads, many destinations, and that no one else can make us walk them but ourselves.

- I am forever yours to keep.
- But you should never forget that I am free and foremost I am mine.

We can only give what we have. That’s the reason why we only really possess something when we give it away.

- So, you are mine, but I just want you to be free.
-Be free to choose being mine.

Know yourself and take a hold of who you are. Give yourself to those you love, as much as you can. And expect nothing in return. You will find that the best things in life are not those which we own, but those who own us.
